Flexible Mold

The course focuses on developing innovative design strategies for free-form structures in architecture and art, in which a coherent overall object emerges from combining many individual elements. It covers the entire design and implementation process – from the conceptual idea, through physical modeling and sculptural exploration, to advanced fabrication methods such as adaptive membrane forming for complex geometries.

A central element of the course is the intensive work with models, along with a systematic engagement with all phases of the design process – from the first sketch to full-scale (1:1) realization.
