As places of representation and knowledge transfer, as well as repositories and guardians of our cultural canon, museums play a vital role. They have a delicate social responsibility when it comes to dealing with postcolonial discourse and must always be scrutinised and rethought.

This year's Modul Form*Design explored the potential of museums as places of lively discourse. The students developed ideas and concepts for this, engaging in an active dialogue with the Weltmuseum's stakeholders.

The practical realisation began with the development of an object to serve as a form of mediation between visitors, the museum and the exhibits, which was then tested on site at the Weltmuseum.
